ФЭД-5 IN THREE MODIFICATIONS
The ФЭД family has been replenished with a new model, ФЭД-5, produced in three modifications. While maintaining the traditional body shape and the main technical specifications of previous models, the new camera has more user-friendly controls. The stability and reliability of the shutter has been improved. The exposure meter indicator built into the camera is housed in a dustproof housing. The light limiter grid was replaced with a lens raster, which made it possible to make the angle of perception of the element equal to the angle of view of the lens. The exposure meter scale is divided into "channels", which simplifies the use of the shutter speed and aperture scales. The model that has a viewfinder-rangefinder with a bright-line frame to determine the boundaries of the frame is assigned the index "С". The frame is equipped with marks for parallax corrections when shooting at close distances. The ФЭД-5 model has an exposure meter and a diopter adjustment unit. The model, which does not have an exposure meter and a bright-line frame, is produced with the index "В". The "ФЭД-5В" has additional diopter adjustment capabilities in the viewfinder.
Cameras of all modifications are equipped with an "Индустар-61 Л/Д" lens, which has an increased resolving power compared to the "Индустар-61" lens, and an improved barrel design that matches the shape of the camera body. More convenient marks are applied on the barrel. The index "Л/Д" means lanthanum, for rangefinder cameras.
