Manufacturer description
Special scientific lens for ultra-violet photography under U.V. illumination of 253.7nm or 365nm wavelength band. Supplied with two focus attachment lenses and special filters against 253.7nm and 365nm bands, and a special bellows unit with calibrated gear shaft for magnification and focused distance against these two wavelength bands. An extremely valuable aid for criminal investigation, industrial and other scientific works.
Asahi TAKUMAR series
The first generation of lenses designed for Asahi Pentax 35mm SLR cameras with the M42 screw mount. Introduced with the Asahi Pentax in 1957.
- Robust, all-metal design with aperture ring(s) and depth-of-field scale in chrome finish (up to 135mm telephotos);
- Preset or manual diaphragm;
- Extremely accurate manual focusing with knurled focusing ring (400mm+ super telephotos have finely-ribbed focusing rings);
- Single-layer anti-reflection coating.

The lens was designed for UV photography only and features both Quartz and normal glass elements. Achromatic correction for 200..400nm.
