Manufacturer description #1
This runs on four rugged racks fitted to the camera standard. The lens standard runs on the upper pair of racks, the focusing stage on the lower. Both have rack-and-pinion drives with clamp screws. Extensions from 67 to 204 mm can be read off a scale. The focusing stage has a 1/4" tripod socket.
Manufacturer description #2
The auto bellows is the large, universal focusing unit within the 6000 System. Its outstanding features are high stability, precision and compact design. Its two die-cast standards are connected via double racks, the movable lens standard running free from backlash in two 40mm brass sleeves with a rack-and-pinion drive. A flexible conductor track retains all control functions. To ensure highly precise focusing, the bottom pair of racks runs on a focusing stage with a tripod socket.
The minimum extension of 67 mm is the flange focal distance of the 150mm lens head which thus can be continuously focused from infinity down to OIR 1:1.1. Theoretically, the extension can be increased at will by adding extension tubes. In practice, however, 204 mm seems to be a realistic limit.
The bellows also serve for reverse-mounting the lenses, since in this case the helical focusing mount cannot be used. Due to the relatively long basic extension of 67 mm, negative magnification is limited to focal lengths of 120 mm and longer.
