Manufacturer description
Unlike the linear composition of conventional lenses, the fisheye lens's unique barrel distortion adds a touch of fantasy to photos. Whether capturing architecture or portraits, it brings an extraordinary visual experience with exaggerated and playful distortions - this is the unique charm of the fisheye lenses.
Effectively minimizes spherical aberration, chromatic aberration. Reproduces the truest color in every image. Enhanced image quality, ensuring outstanding optical performance and stability.
Featuring an all-metal lens body design, assembled with high-precision technology to ensure stable, outstanding performance in various shooting environments, capturing every remarkable moment.
With 10 rounded aperture blades, this lens effortlessly creates stunning starburst effects, highlighting the intricacies and texture of light as it travels. The visual contrast created when the starburst effect merges with other background elements bring depth and vibrancy to the frame.
With a minimum focusing distance of 0.15m, this lens ensures precise focus even at close range, capturing sharp images. When shooting close to the subject, it highlights the subject's features, adding creative flair and interest to the composition.
This lightweight lens easily fits into any camera bag. At only 602g, it keeps things light, making it easier to head to various shooting locations. It's perfect for photographers who frequently shoot on the go, reducing the load for travel.
LENS-DB: Frankly, we doubt that a lens weighing 602g can be called "lightweight". Even if it is a fast fisheye lens for 35mm full-frame cameras.
In portrait photography, it effectively separates the subject from the background, creating portrait works with greater artistic appeal and impact.
With a 185° field of view and a large f/2.8 aperture, this lens allows astrophotographers to capture more light in low-light environments, reducing exposure time and noise to achieve clearer, high-quality night sky images.
Typical characteristics of fisheye lenses
- Extreme angle of view (at least 180° diagonally);
- Circular types (the image circle of the lens is inscribed in the image frame) or diagonal types (cover the entire image frame);
- Usually of equidistant projection type, with the distance from the picture center to any given point always proportional to the angle from the optical axis to that point;
- Huge barrel distortion;
- Short closest focusing distance (0.20 - 0.30m with 35mm full-frame prime lenses);
- Very large depth of field, eliminating the need for autofocus or precise manual focusing;
- Due to the extreme angle of view and convex front element, front filters cannot be used;
- Often equipped with a filter turret with swivel-mounted filters;
- Often come with a small, built-in petal-shaped lens hood.
