Bessamatic and Ultramatic series 35mm SLR cameras are genuine Voigtlander precision cameras - modern in technical conception and versatile in use, satisfying the highest demands. All cameras are equipped with the Synchro-Compur, the diaphragm shutter which proved itself millions of times over. It gives shutter speed settings from 1 to 1/500th second, and has "B" setting (for time exposure of any desired duration). It has a built-in self-timer and is synchronised for flash right up to the fastest shutter speed.
The optical equipment of the Voigtlander SLR cameras is unique. A range of fully interchangeable lenses with focal lengths from the 35mm wide-angle to the 350mm super-telephoto makes it possible to tackle satisfactorily all photographic situations. All lenses are high quality Voigtlander anastigmats in the very fullest sense. They assure the utmost in image sharpness and brilliance, as well as absolutely true-to-nature and clear rendering of colors. All lenses have automatic diaphragm control and an automatic depth of field indicator (the latter with the exception of the Color-Lanthar 50mm F/2.8 and the Zoomar 36-82mm F/2.8).
